This isn't the tumblog you're looking for. . .

Oh man, I miss the NBA

It’s been 130 days of the NBA Lockout, and things dont look good.

To be frank, I dont really understand what’s the lock out all about, except for it’s millionaires vs billionaires trying to make a new deal, and the billionaires are being some greedy fucking pricks.

And now, the latest news I read was David Stern (He’s the commissioner of NBA, for those who doesnt know) is offering a “Take it or leave it” kinda deal. And I’m under the impression that the players are not going to take that condescending deal. Also, I’m reading a lot of this report that the players are threatening to decertify their union. I honestly dont understand what that means, but from what I read, if this Union Decertifying thing goes through, there will be no 2011-2012 NBA season.

Today is November 8th. The season should’ve started by now. Dirk Nowitzki and co should’ve gotten his ring by now. His long awaited and hard fought ring. Also Jason Kidd, Jason Terry and other veterans.

By now, I should’ve written my season preview posts. About how teams will fare this season, which player will be having a break out year, the aftermath of the off season trades, my hope that Greg Oden and Brandon Roy will be in full health this year and the Blazers will seriously contend, and for the Suns will finally heading for a positive direction (FREE STEVE NASH !) and all that shit.

Instead, all we got now are depressing lockout news. NBA players playing overseas. NBA Players on some charity pick up games. NBA players getting bored, and doing some non-basketball related stuff, from planking to competing in Dancing with Stars, to getting married and divorced in a 72 day cycle.

Instead of basketball at is highest level, all we got is squat.

I miss the games. I really do.

I miss waking up early on weekend mornings to watch the game. I miss yelling at my computer for the laggy streaming broadcast. I miss tweeting in game that nobody gives any shit about. I miss checking the highlights and stats and standings on NBA.com. I miss setting my fantasy team roster. I miss the quality threads in InsideHoops forum, and newsworthy article on SlamOnline. I miss watching my teams play. I miss supporting them, through winning streaks and injury woes. I miss the excitement.

If you’re like me, I’m sure that you miss the game too, and wish this lockout shitstorm will end soon. And we still have an NBA 2011-2012 season.
